Beta program terms
How Draftmount beta codes work, and what to expect while the studio is still being built.
What the beta is
Beta testers get Draftmount Atelier, the full plan, before the store opens. It’s a work in progress: features arrive as we build them, so some parts of Atelier, like cloud storage, aren’t switched on yet. Your feedback shapes what comes next.
Beta codes
Codes look like DRAFT-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX and come from the Draftmount team. You enter a code once, after creating your account, and it stays linked to that account. Unless we tell you a code is meant for a group, it’s for you alone, so please don’t post it publicly.
Each code gives access for one month, three months, or with no end date. Timed access starts on the day you redeem the code. A code can also have a date by which it must be redeemed, and a limit on how many accounts can use it.
We can switch off a code, or a single account’s access, if a code is shared publicly or these terms or the Terms of use are broken.
Where your work lives
During the beta, projects are saved in the browser you write in. Use the same browser on the same device to come back to them, and don’t clear draftmount.com’s site data unless you’ve downloaded your work first.
We can’t see or recover your projects. The download option in the studio is your backup, so please use it.
When access ends
When timed access runs out, your projects stay in your browser and you can still download them. Beta access never turns into a paid plan by itself, and you’ll never be charged without choosing a plan yourself.
If we ever end the beta program as a whole, we’ll announce it on draftmount.com first, so you have time to download your work.
Feedback
We’d love to hear what works and what doesn’t: support@draftmount.com. If you send ideas or suggestions, we may use them to improve Draftmount without owing you anything for them. That never applies to your manuscripts, which stay yours.
